The Customer:
Scotts, Commercial Lawn Care Division
The Problem:
Scotts wanted to reach more procurement managers for upscale hotels and restaurants who could either be outsourcing their landscape needs. They decided to secure booth space at a restaurant supply show but needed to insure traffic since this was an irregular venue for this dept.
The Solution:
They purchased the retractable wireless mouse. Anyone who listened to their presentation and filled out a contact card received a take home gift. Because of its small size it was easy to transport and because of its value it was a keeper for valuable desktop space. (Most hotel staff offices are pretty small.)
The Outcome:
They stayed busy the entire show and gave away over 1000 gifts at the two day show. More importantly, they secured contracts with 17% of the recipients in a 3 state area.
